Practice / 10 minute exercise

Build a practice habit that fits

A small repeatable session is more useful than an ambitious schedule you avoid. Measure progress by what you notice and improve, not by how many pages you finish.

Take it step by step

  1. Spend two minutes warming up with lines, turns, and ovals. Use this time to settle your grip and paper angle.
  2. Spend four minutes on one skill: pressure, height, spacing, or joins. Choose a specific target before you start.
  3. Spend three minutes applying that skill to a short word or phrase. Alternate looking at a model with trying a version independently.
  4. Use the last minute to circle one successful form and write one next-step note. Stop on time; extending every session makes tomorrow harder to start.

Your turn

Try this on paper

Run one ten-minute session. Date the page and finish the sentence “Next time I will work on…”. Return to that note before choosing tomorrow’s exercise.

Before you move on

Did you practice one named skill and leave yourself a clear next step?

Repeat the exercise if you want to. Marking a lesson complete records your practice, not a claim of mastery.
